ALL PERFORMANCES TAKE PLACE AT
Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts
3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Performances are an hour long and include a complimentary Study Guide and a special "Talk Back Session" with the artists.
The season features the return of America's favorite contemporary dance companies - Lar Lubovitch, Pilobolus, Parsons, River North and Dance Theatre of Harlem as well as the debut of Italy's Spellbound Dance Company. Expose your students to the beauty and magic of dance that crosses cultures and genres while addressing curricula standards!
Dance, a celebration of life, culture, tradition, socialization, and communication, embraces music, art, theater, and technology. Students will discover how dance emulates life through its problem-solving, teamwork, and critical-thinking approaches.
Young audiences will be transported to new worlds of the imagination and wowed by the skills, talent and physical conditioning of these world-class dancer/athletes. Teachers will be amazed how easy it is to incorporate elements into their curriculum since dance addresses laws of motion, physics, mathematics, history, life skills, language arts, and cultural studies.
